56:26 maybe i'm just stoned but i also really love how they execute the POV shots and still express so much emotion and personality in them. the way clay hobbles to his room until he gets a glimmer of hope hearing orel question what bloberta expected out of him, quickly stops himself at the acknowledgement of their relationship's real nature only to hear bloberta shut down the concern with "...why not?" and then stands there in resignation to just go back to drowning his disappointment with alcohol, gets ANOTHER glimmer of hope hearing orel call out the drinking problem, sees bloberta once again brush off the question and her breaking down because of it only to blatantly cover up those feelings with her hatred of him and walks off leaving him with it, ultimately just destroying any potential sign of change as he resigns himself in disappointment to the status quo of their lives as he's always used to... it's just too good. i might be reading too much into a small scene but that's just a really smart way to show how they feed into each other's mutual self-loathing and flick off any switch oriented towards improvement. i miss moral orel. edit: nvm 10 seconds later he said it himself LMFAOOOOOOOOOOO i love this

I didn't really find this episode funny at and honestly was deeply uncomfortable they even let this air. She's a rape victim who probably involuntarily regressed into a child like state to deal with her severe trauma of being raped as a 12 year old and having a child and not only that having the town call her stupid for being sexually assaulted.

Space Ghost: Coast to Coast literally shaped my sense of humor. I'm 37. We first got cable around '95, and my mom loved to watch those old HB cartoons on CN, so I would more often than not catch Space Ghost: Coast to Coast while it was on TV. I watched adult swim in the beginning, and I still constantly think about the old pool bumpers and how much I loved them. I constantly watch my old AS favorites, and I genuinely think that The Venture Brothers is one of the greatest tv shows ever created. Adult Swim means so much to me, and I'm so happy people younger than me love it as much as I do.

I watched all of Morel Orel about 10 or so years ago, and I wish I turned more people onto it. It's incredibly well-written, plus I have a personal deep nostalgic love for real stop-motion as that's what I watched a lot as a baby ('The Herb Garden', the original 'Noddy' and 'Pingu' and to a lesser extent, 'Fireman Sam', 'Postman Pat' , 'Thomas the Tank Engine', 'The Magic Roundabout' and 'Bagpuss') there's a warmth to it that you just can't get in CGI. Anyways rambling. This is the 2nd hours-long video essay I've seen about it and I really appreciate you talking about what was written in the scripts that never made it, as well as your personal experience with it.
